Vampire trivia – answer one

The question was: How did the vampire’s high-collared cape originate?
Did you know the answer? I didn’t either. But here it is:

Hamilton Deane toured a play based on Dracula that was very popular from about 1924 to 1927 in England. The actor Raymond Huntley, who played the part of Dracula had to supply his own evening clothes, but not the cape, which was considered a prop. When the actor stood with his back to the audience, the tall collar hid his head, allowing him to seemingly vanish from sight, while actually disappearing down a trap door.
